Stanley Tucci Shared a Martini with Richard Madden, and Fans Are Convinced This Is a Hint About the Next James Bond

In my opinion, Stanley Tucci is one of the classiest actors of our time. On and off the screen, Tucci embodies what it means to be a stand-up individual who prioritizes the simple pleasures in life and certainly does not sacrifice his morals for anyone. Being the tastemaker that he is, the Inside Man actor has recently gained himself an extra bump of fame through his very insightful social media posts, which give fans a look inside his kitchen as well as highlight his love for alternative desserts.

So, it should come as no surprise that when Tucci made his most recent Instagram post, sharing a martini with none other than his Citadel costar, Richard Madden, the internet went berserk. In the video, Tucci and Madden sit together in a busy restaurant and offer up a wholesome “cheers” over what looks to be a martini — shaken, not stirred. Tucci asks Madden how his martini is, and Madden responds simply, “delicious.” 

Of course, this set off the conspiracy theorists considering that Madden is in the running for the new James Bond role, who all had their two cents to throw in debating whether Tucci’s post was a teaser of what’s to come, or just a coincidental drink shared between coworkers. 

One commenter wrote “New Bond and Q?,” while another weighed in, “who knows, so many views but it’s all about whipping up interest, so it works.”

While I’m more inclined to believe that the two co-stars were simply just out having a drink together, it is fun to think that they have something up their sleeves for the true fans out there. Nevertheless, I’ll continue to tune into anything Tucci has to say in hopes that some of that class rubs off on the rest of us.
