Soft and Serene Belgian Kitchens
The soft tones, natural patina, and simple designs of Belgian interiors are appealing for all rooms of the house. But we find that Belgian influence particularly attractive for the kitchen, where the hustle and bustle is what’s busy, not the kitchen’s design:
The first image above, from a converted factory featured in Marie Claire Maison, has become one of our favorites and we see it all over the place. The kitchen uses old library shelves painted a warm creamy white for all of its dish storage. We love how that rich wall of storage sets off a lab-style pulldown faucet at the sink.
The one thing in common between all of these kitchens – and an element we love – is the color. Creamy whites and muted grays with natural wood and stone make for a serene backdrop for cooking and gathering.
