Snoop Dogg is back at it again. Hot on the heels of the release of Snoop Loopz cereal, the rapper, media personality, and actor is expanding the breakfast offerings of his food brand Broadus Foods in a big way. The family-owned food product company — which was founded by Snoop (born Calvin Broadus) and sees fellow rapper Percy “Master P” Miller as the company’s CEO — wants to keep the mission of the Beautiful performer’s mother going with her own line of breakfast foods.

Aptly titled Mama Snoop, the brand — which was created to continue the legacy of “her generous love and passion for feeding families in our communities” — will include five staple items that are sure to be a hit at the breakfast table: Momma Snoop Pancake Mix, Momma Snoop Oatmeal, Momma Snoop Grits, Momma Snoop Maple Syrup, and Momma Snoop Honey Almond Granola.

Switching gears from the design of a colorful cartoon-like character pulling kids in on the front of the Snoop Loopz cereal box, each of the Momma Snoop products bears the logo of his smiling mother, Beverly Tate (who passed in October 2021), donning a red hat.

“There was a void for our culture when they took ‘Aunt Jemima’ off the shelves,” Snoop wrote in an Instagram caption for the announcement video. “We’re replacing it with ‘Momma Snoop’ pancake mix, syrup, grits and oatmeal adding diversity into the grocery stores industry and creating opportunities for minority-owned food products and brands.”

Continuing on with more info about the brand, Snoop said that the line is “making it real easy for you to get up in the morning, get you something to eat, start your day off right; something healthy, something generational, something family, something from me and P to you and you.” The grits, which he noted to be his favorite of the bunch, boast a “fast cook time” and “creamy and smooth” texture on the product packaging.

According to the Momma Snoop brand page, purchases of Momma Snoop products will support charities like Door of Hope, a Christian non-profit based in Pasadena, California. While there’s not much information about ingredient lists, nutrition, pricing, or where to purchase the new line, we know we’ll be first in line when it’s time to give them a try.
