Want to make a really great party spread for a lot of people with almost no effort whatsoever? The answer is slow cooker beef tacos. Just put the beef and seasonings in your slow cooker and set it to cook, then go about your day. When you come back, the meat is ready to go. Set out taco shells and toppings, and people will absolutely love your DIY taco buffet.

It’s simple, but there are a few key tips to guarantee success. First, break the meat up into small pieces when you put it in the slow cooker. You want crumbled meat, not a full hamburger. The recipe calls for six tablespoons of homemade taco seasoning, to make sure everything comes out super flavorful and allow you to tailor the flavors to your specific preferences. But if you want to save time, you can buy pre-mixed taco seasoning and just use that. Finally, a jar of taco sauce or picante sauce gives moisture and flavor.

These slow-cooker tacos are also a great option for a busy weeknight, and they leave you with enough meat to keep you eating tacos for several days if you want. It’s very hard to get tired of them.
