Skillet Pork Chops in Creamy Mushroom Sauce Are a Dinner Win
Easing back into the hustle and bustle of life after the weekend requires some key self-care steps. First and foremost? Making yourself a delicious, warming meal. That’s where these pork chops come in.
This dinner comes together in one skillet in just 30 minutes. And if that’s not enough to entice you, maybe the creamy mushroom sauce will do the trick?
The key to building great flavor here is cooking everything in one skillet. (It’s also the key to the easiest cleanup!)
First you’ll sear the pork chops on both sides and then set them aside. Then you’ll add some butter and sauté the mushrooms with garlic. To pick up all the browned bits from the pork chops and the mushrooms, you’ll pour in some chicken broth or white wine to deglaze the pan. Once the liquid is almost evaporated you’ll stir in some half-and-half and dried rosemary, thyme, and parsley and then add the chops back in to finish cooking.
And that’s it! Seriously. While you’re making the main you could get some sides going to round things out. A simple green salad or roasted potatoes would be great here. I think this would also be fantastic served over pasta with a little Parmesan sprinkled on top. Or maybe you just want to tear up a baguette and dunk the crusty bread into the creamy sauce? I would not judge you one bit.
