A couple months ago I moved to a new city, a new apartment, and a kitchen that came with two very sad black mesh counter stools. (How sad? Food-encrusted-and-stained sad.) I’ve been keeping my eye out for a replacement set, and the Perch stools from West Elm are currently a favorite.

I love the mix of powder-coated iron and teak wood. And do you see the angled bottom? That’s for resting your feet — a necessity for any stool, in my opinion.
The Perch stool comes in red, yellow, and white (my favorite). At $255 per stool, it’s sadly out of my price range, but I’m still an admirer.
