Have you heard of the Sinkstation? This flat colander came out last year and won a bunch of awards. Originally designed to catch peelings in the bottom of the sink, New Soda (the designer and manufacturer) says it’s actually quite handy as an all-purpose, moveable flat draining surface, particularly for delicate produce. I always wonder about products like this. The video makes it look so versatile, but while it looks to be handy and helpful, I question how much I’d actually use it, and if it would really make my food prep easier. Hard to know without trying it. It could also be one of those “wow, I didn’t realize how much I needed this!” things.

The Sinkstation is made of 100% recyclable polypropylene, and it’s food-, dishwasher-, and boiling water-safe. Do you have one? Would you get one?
