Looking for a crowd-pleasing dessert to bring to a summer gathering? We’ve got you covered. On Sunday, Food Network and Magnolia Network — Chip and Joanna Gaines’ TV channel — aired the first Silos Baking Competition, a one-hour special in which home bakers from around the country vied for a cash prize and the opportunity to feature their dessert at Silos Baking Co. bakery in Waco, TX.

The winner? Summer Berry Bars baked by 28-year-old Annie Paul, a stay-at-home mom from Michigan. Along with fresh strawberries and lemon zest, the bars feature a homemade brown butter crust and a spiced crumble topping that are finished off with a vanilla bean glaze. The competition’s three judges — Joanna Gaines, plus chef Andrew Zimmern and pastry chef Zoë Francois — praised Paul’s recipe for being “simply beautiful” with a “perfect balance of flavors.”

“I think it’s still sinking in a bit,” Paul told People of the win. “I was just so honored to have even made it to the top six [out of the thousands of applicants] that I don’t think winning ever really crossed my mind. It truly feels amazing!”

The Summer Berry Bars are now on the menu at Silos Baking Co, but If you can’t make it to Texas to buy the bars, don’t worry: Magnolia generously shared the winning recipe with People so you can bake them at home. (Fair warning: You’ll need lots of butter.)
