When it comes to treating myself, I allow myself to be generous. One way I like to indulge is by buying a latte with an interesting flavor from a coffee shop. It seems small in the grand scheme of things, but sadly, the cost of these fancy drinks add up after a while. So this year, after being inspired by a number of videos on TikTok, I decided I would start making my own syrups for my coffee

So far, I’ve been loving making these syrups at home. I whip up a new one every week, and I’m starting to really get creative with the flavors. But one issue I’m consistently having is making a sticky mess while transferring it from my saucepan to my Mason jar. But after perusing Williams Sonoma’s new arrivals section, I stumbled upon the solution to my weekly struggle: Williams Sonoma’s Silicone Funnel Set. Not only is this handy set key for syrup-making, but it’s also an all-around kitchen superhero, making it easier to put dry goods into storage containers, fill thermoses with liquids, and more.

What Is the Williams Sonoma Silicone Funnel Set?

Honestly, prior to making this discovery, I thought I was just going to have to deal with cleaning up sticky countertops on the regular. But with Williams Sonoma’s Silicone Funnel Set, I’ll likely finally be able to put those days behind me. This set comes with two funnels of different sizes. There’s a small one and a large one (and based on the pictures on the website, I’m betting the large one will do the trick for my coffee syrups).

Beyond the fact that these funnels will give me an easy way to pour my syrup into my Mason jar, I also am intrigued by the fact that you can collapse these funnels for easy storage. As someone with a chaotic kitchen utensil drawer that barely closes, this is a seriously helpful feature in my book. Plus, it also has a little key ring that you can put both funnels on, so you can keep them together in the drawer.

Plus, funnels can serve a myriad of other functions in the kitchen. For one, if you like to take your dry goods and snacks out of their store-bought packaging, these tiny tools will make moving them into your pantry storage containers completely painless. What’s more, you can use them for making stuffed peppers and tomatoes, filling a muffin pan, putting soup into a thermos, and more. In all of these cases, you’ll cut down on so many messes — and they’re dishwasher-safe!

I don’t know how I didn’t come up with the solution of using a funnel sooner. To me, this silicone set from Williams Sonoma offers a little something extra compared to many others on the market, considering that they’re space-saving. They’re also extremely affordable at just $13 for two, and they’re bound to last based on what I know of Williams Sonoma’s level of quality. So, needless to say, this kitchen gem will be coming home with me.
