Seven Days, Seven Hot Toddies: Part 2
The toddy project continues with two delicious combinations of tea and booze – whiskey and black tea to perk you up, and chamomile and bourbon to send you off to sleep.
Thursday: Whiskey Hot Tea Toddy
I couldn’t stop drinking this. It’s so many things I love, mixed into one: whiskey, tea, spices, honey. I can see myself drinking this après-ski in front of a roaring fire, or just après-work at the end of a long day. Go ahead, make one: you’ve earned it.

Friday: Chamomile Bourbon Hot Toddy
For Friday’s hot toddy, I was inspired by this recipe from Jacob Grier. I was intrigued by the combination of bourbon and chamomile, but at a bit of a loss as to how to get my hands on some chamomile liqueur. The solution? Chamomile tea. The bourbon and the floral flavors here complement one another beautifully. Perfect for a nightcap – chamomile has been used as a sleep aid for centuries, and if that doesn’t do the trick, the little bit of bourbon should knock you right out.
