Honey baked apples are a seasonal and savvy way to use up the left over dribs and drabs of dried fruit that are haunting our kitchen cupboards. Here's Dorrie Greenspan's recipe.

Greenspan suggests making the apples just a little more fancy and seriously French-y by topping them with meringue.
