I received an email a few weeks ago from Troy, a reader, who wanted to share his love of this San Francisco clothing company, which also makes these great aprons. He said, "I think it's hard to pass over a Japanese denim, made in the USA, apron for under $50." We agree! I've tried one of these out now and they're durable, handsome, and quite reasonably priced for something so well-wearing.
Stephen, the Gustin founder, gave the background: "These were originally developed in collaboration with James Freeman of Blue Bottle Coffee for their Mint Plaza SF location. It uses a black warp / black weft selvedge denim from Okayama, Japan. The apron is sewn at our factory in the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco."
