An Official “Seinfeld” Cookbook Is Coming This Fall, So There’ll Be Plenty of Soup for You
As a current resident of NYC, I can attest to the fact that ordering takeout is a huge part of my culinary experience here. While I do love cooking at home, sometimes, after a long day of work, I just want something uniquely New York and delicious all at the same time. Usually, this means I’m ordering takeout, but now I might have the perfect excuse to put down the Chinese menus and pull out some pots and pans after all.
Hitting bookstores everywhere on October 11, Seinfeld: The Official Cookbook takes the “show about nothing” and turns it into a tour of the gang’s favorite foods throughout the 9-season series. Packed full of 60 different recipes, fans of the show can now try iconic meals ranging from George’s Jerk Store Shrimp to Kramer’s Won’t-Keep Casserole. It even has a section on an irresistible soup stand, and I can assure you, this time there will be soup for you.
Created by writers Julie Tremaine and Brendan Kirby, the new soon-to-be-favorite cookbook caters to chefs of all levels. Offering everything from appetizers and main courses to drinks and desserts, each chapter will leave diners craving more nostalgia and good eats from their favorite moments of the show.
Ready to try your hand at a few delicious recipes? Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait a little longer, but the cookbook is now available in hardcover and on sale for under $20. Seems like a deal worth nabbing that even Jerry and the gang would approve of if you ask me.
While you wait for your new book to arrive, why not explore some other literature that can get your creative juices flowing in the kitchen? This Black Panther-inspired cookbook is full of 70 recipes based on the fictional nation of Wakanda as well as the continent of Africa, and — in my opinion — is a must-have. After that, you might want to get your hands on the Unofficial Disney Parks EPCOT Cookbook, which offers a “culinary trip around the world without having to pay the steep price of admission.”
Whatever you go with though, you can bet you won’t be hungry afterwards!
