Yahoo! Food editor Maggie Nemser posted "tightly held secrets" from Food & Wine Magazine's Best New Chefs for 2007.

Two of the chefs recommended making your own flavored salt, two others focused on acidity. "Add acidity in everything to bring out the flavor in food" said April Bloomfield from The Spotted Pig. Taken together, these tips from top chefs boil down to a common sense reminder for all of us: focus on the fundamentals.
