Seasonal Spotlight: Persian Green Plums
Persian Green Plums are early-ripening plums grown in the mountains of Iran and are often eaten sour.
They’re commonly salted and made into a dish called goje sabz, cooked in other dishes, or eaten raw. We’ve been seeing them in a lot of Farmer’s Markets lately, and since it’s already July, these plums have ripened to the point of sweetness, so if you aren’t a fan of tartness, don’t worry. Give them a try!
