Sam’s Club’s New Chicken Nuggets Taste Just Like Chick-fil-A
It used to be when you wanted a very particular hand-breaded, all-breast meat chicken nugget flecked with hints of dill and pepper, you had to put on pants. Unless it was a Sunday, in which case you had to wait an entire day, and then put on pants. Or if you lived outside the South, where Chick-fil-A locations are fewer and further between, you might even need to plan a trip to one or stand in line (sometimes hours long when new locations open).
I’m happy to report that this is no longer the case, because Sam’s Club has a better solution: frozen nuggets that you can make at home that are as close as you can get to the real thing any day of the week (and, for some folks, without compromising their politics).
The nuggets, called “Member’s Mark Southern Style Chicken Bites,” come in a three-pound bag ($9.98) that bears a remarkably familiar red and white checked pattern.
This is not lost on the people of the internet: One mom’s video shows off her own copycat sauces and her saying “I would swear that came straight from Chick-fil-A.” Other customers found they could mix some honey and butter, dab it on rolls, and build their own Chick-n-Minis. On Sam’s Club’s own website, customers rave, “It’s like you’re eating [a Chick-fil-A] sandwich!” and simply “OH MY GOSH…just like Chick-fil-A.”
The nuggets are already fully cooked, so you just need to heat and eat — the package offers directions for making them in a conventional oven, an air fryer, and even a microwave, for when you really need those nuggets ASAP. All you need to do is figure out how to make that thick and garlicky ranch sauce that takes them over the top — or just check out our taste test and pick the one that fits your nugget habits best.
