Room for Color Winner: Heather’s Coral Rental Kitchen
Look! A kitchen, and a rental kitchen at that, won first place in the International division of our Room for Color contest! We were very excited to see such a vibrant kitchen in the first place spot.
Heather says that she built the color palette for her little kitchen around a paper parasol that she loves. She says:
“I’ve been carrying this beautiful vintage paper parasol from apartment to apartment because I love the colour – a beautiful coral, especially when the light shines through it. I hung it in my kitchen to hide some gnarly junction boxes and slowly built my palette around it – bright and creamy coral, warm white, soft sage, pops of citrus.”
We just love the warmth and brightness of this little kitchen. It’s a wonderful color for Montreal, Canada, which is quite dark through much of the winter. This seems like such a cheery, practical space, and we’re quite happy that a kitchen got voted into one of the top spots in this year’s contest. Congratulations Heather!
