Restaurants Making Changes to Make Food Ready for Instagram
Taking photos of your food in restaurants has become so commonplace, restaurants are now trying to make it easier for patrons who Instagram their meals before eating.
Chili’s Grill & Bar is one of the restaurants making these changes.
They are revamping the way they plate some of their top-selling menu items to make them more photogenic. But that’s not the only thing they are doing.
On some of the dishes, including their signature burgers, Chili’s is using a special egg wash on the buns to give them an “Instagrammable sheen” according to the AP. And phot0-ready food isn’t cheap; the egg wash alone will cost $750,000 per year. We wonder if this is coming out of the marketing budget?
