With the second season of Bridgerton premiering March 25, it’s time to spill the tea. (And no, I don’t mean the identity of Lady Whistledown — although I do hear that’s coming).

In the wake of excitement charged by the return of Netflix’s Regency period drama inspired by Julia Quinn’s best-selling novels, The Republic of Tea is debuting five limited-edition teas inspired by the show. Each tin label is adorned with series stars (familiar faces along with some season two introductions), while the clever names and flavors follow the personalities of the close-knit Bridgerton brood and its societal circle.

The flavors in the series are Anthony & Kate Spiced Chai, tossing a nod to the sparks that fly between Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and newcomer Kate (Simone Ashley) with cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, and black pepper; Duke & Duchess Honey Breakfast Tea, a seductively strong black tea with sweet honey notes, blackberry, and vanilla flavors; Featherington’s Blood Orange Mimosa Tea, a caffeine-free blend dedicated to young Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) with a ruby-hued hibiscus and essence of champagne and blood oranges; Queen’s Cake Vanilla Fruit Tea, a decadent herbal tea imbued with vanilla, sweet black currants, and lemon worthy of the highest period wig; and Whistledown Punch Hibiscus Iced Tea, a tea tin that doesn’t reveal the closely-guarded secret of her identity but does give us a caffeine-free iced tea of hibiscus blossoms, citrus, and pineapple.

What

Downton Abbey did for sherry

Bridgerton has done for
afternoon tea sets, formal tablecloths, and, of course, a cuppa. After all, you have to sip something while you’re getting all the gossip of London’s high society.

Bridgerton teas are available now, but only for a limited time at specialty stores in the U.S. and through The Republic of Tea’s website. Tins include 36 tea bags and are priced at $14.50 each with Whistledown’s 9-pack iced tea priced at $9 per tin. The Republic of Tea also sells a day planner, custom gift sets, white honey, and mugs to help you surround yourself further in Bridgerton affairs. And if you need a little something to sit sidecar to your piping hot cup of tea, these Lemon Tea Cakes are quite charming.
