Name: Bailey Benningfield and my two cats!
Location: Los Angeles, California, near Koreatown
Size: Probably under 500 square feet
Type of home: Bachelor apartment, which means I don’t have a kitchen! I made one out of a closet.
Years lived in: A little more than a year, renting

Describe your home’s decor style in 5 words: Grandma’s cottage meets the jungle.

What’s your favorite thing about your home? My very favorite thing about my home is my big windows.

I have a lot of plants, so having a ton of light was really important. Other apartments in my budget didn’t have the windows I needed.

My studio is divided by a closet/storage space, almost making it a one bedroom. So it’s really nice to have a large window in both “rooms.”

What’s your least favorite thing about your home? I don’t have a kitchen! I hate it! I’ve definitely made it work though. I have a dishwashing set-up in the shower, and I converted a closet into a functional (and cute) food-making area.

I can cook pretty much anything you’d make in a full-sized kitchen.

What’s your best small space trick? I have secret storage everywhere! I’ve also installed a countertop that can fold up and down as needed.
