Well-known as a source for quality, if expensive, kitchen equipment, there's one way to enjoy Williams-Sonoma that doesn't cost a dime: their recipe collection!

Flipping through our recipe notebook the other day, we realized that a fair number of our favorite recipes come from Williams-Sonoma. We like them because they tend to be practical and tasty - the kind of recipes that would be equally appropriate for a supper for two or a classy dinner with the in-laws.

The recipes use basic ingredients that are easy to find at the grocery store, and the instructions are easy to understand with minimal fuss. What's more, the recipes work every time!

Here are a few of our favorites:

Lemon-Thyme Polenta with Roasted Mediterranean Vegetables
Vegetable Barley Soup
White Turkey Chili
Creamy Mushroom Stroganoff
Strata with Chard, Sausage, and Caramelized Onions
Chocolate Panna Cotta
