Q: I am pregnant and in my first trimester. While the nausea has subsided, the heartburn is ferocious and since the majority of my go-to meals are spicy, tomato-based, garlicky, filled with cheese or all of the above, I’m finding myself stumped on ideas for healthful meals that won’t have me eating my weight in antacids an hour after eating.

Right now, I’m surviving on smoothies and whole wheat pasta with butter, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Preferences would be for something quick to prepare and that gives me leftovers for lunch.
