"Don't be afraid to bring large furniture pieces into a small space" says Kelsey in this recent Apartment Therapy House Tour. That advice is on full display in Kelsey's San Francisco home, which she shares with her husband Mike and their daughter, Louella. The vintage Mid-Century cabinet in the kitchen takes up one whole wall, but it serves as the lovely and well-organized focal point of the space.

"I try not to overthink when it comes to design and just create a space that's relaxing but shows some personality," Kelsey continues. "This is the third house we've been in since we got married 6 years ago. Every time we move we add and subtract as needed, but a lot of the anchor pieces have stayed the same."

The cabinet adds a lot of warmth to the kitchen, and while it may not be in perfect shape, that doesn't bother Kelsey one bit: "I don't like anything looking too perfect or purchased from one place."

I also really like the stainless steel bar car that stands next to the cabinet. It's very restaurant-supply-store —simple, functional.

How cute are these mustached mugs?
