I know, I know — you’ve heard enough about avocado toast. But this is different; this is a recipe for avocado bread — as in, avocado baked into a loaf of bread. Things just got real.

Similar to banana bread, this loaf is moist and delicious. It has all the regular players of traditional banana bread — flour, butter, sugar, egg, vanilla — but you swap mashed avocado for the banana and add a teaspoon of fresh lime juice for extra color.

A slice of this makes a perfect accompaniment to a hot cup of tea or coffee. But if you really want to get crazy, you can top it with some sliced avocado and a sprinkle of sea salt for the world’s best avocado toast.
