Pumpkin Spice and Scary Face Pancakes Are Making Their Return to IHOP
Autumn lovers, gather ‘round. While others are hanging on with all their might to the last vestiges of summer, we know you’re yearning for the days of sweater weather, crisp air, and the essence of pumpkin spice in literally everything you can get your hands on. And thankfully, IHOP hears you.
The family restaurant chain known for their perfect pancakes is serving serious PSL vibes with the return of its favorite fall-themed pumpkin pancakes. Made with real pumpkin and a blend of fall spices, these fluffy flapjacks — which are topped with whipped cream — taste like a slice of freshly baked pumpkin pie (and who doesn’t like eating pie for breakfast?).
If you want to get into the spirit minus the spice, however, IHOP is also bringing back its scary face pancake — a fluffy, extra large buttermilk pancake topped with whipped cream eyes and a smile. Customers can get creative and decorate the face with Mini Oreo cookies, glazed strawberries, and candy corn, as scary or as happy as you please. How scarily cute.
But that’s not all you can expect from the pancake purveyor this fall. IHOP will be offering a new Choice Menu, allowing fans to personalize their own combo meals at any time of the day across the selections of made-to-order Griddle Combos, Steakburgers, and Chicken Sandwiches instead of having to order a set combination.
Though the brand is known for highlighting the holidays and emphasizing seasonal eats (even putting a smile on faces during sad news with their one-day menu item the Choco-Pancake), their seasonal selections usually stick around for a few months. So you may want to hop to it if you want to get in on these tasty treats.
If you do end up missing these pumpkin pancakes, don’t be too scared; You can always try these at home.
