The Surprising New Spread That’s Going on All My Burgers
Condiments can make or break your burger. Whether it’s a sweet ketchup or a zingy mustard (or neither!), people have strong opinions about what’s “the best” beef patty topper. When I was growing up, I always put a schmear of old-school whipped dressing on my burger bun — it was what my parents did, so I did it too! The slightly sweet creamy condiment added a nice tang to my burger without being too heavy (like mayo tends to be).
I’m a longtime fan of the Primal Kitchen brand; the dairy-free queso dip, perfectly balanced pasta sauces, condiments, sauces, and more have been a staple in my kitchen for years. So when I saw the company launched a new condiment — Primal Kitchen Whip Dressing and Spread — I had to give it a try. And my trial did not disappoint.
What’s So Great About Primal Kitchen Whip Dressing and Spread?
This new condiment hit grocery shelves in April, and I haven’t looked back since trying it. Like many Primal Kitchen products, avocado oil is the first ingredient, which gives it a rich flavor I just don’t get from other brands. It’s vegan-friendly, free from any added sugars, and gluten-free too. And, perhaps most importantly, the whip is surprisingly light and easy to spread.
For people who are not in the habit of using a condiment like this one on their burgers (plant-based, beef, or otherwise), it can add a zingy flavor and slight sweetness that elevates this cookout classic in seconds.
What’s the Best Way to Use Primal Kitchen Whip Dressing and Spread?
Primal Kitchen Whip Dressing and Spread not only adds a unique flavor to my burgers and turkey sandwiches, but it’s also become a go-to ingredient in many other recipes. It’s an easy 1:1 swap for any mayonnaise or whipped dressing in deviled eggs, coleslaw, and chicken salad. We’ve gone through two jars in my house already. Next up, we’re thinking of trying it in our pimento cheese or Buffalo chicken dip recipes.
