Pop Up Placemats from Publique Living

When we were kids, mom kept our pop up books on the top shelf -- far away from our grubby, curious hands. We'd never be allowed to play with the book full of pop-up castles and bridges during dinner.

Now the guys from Publique Living are breaking all the rules with their new PopMat Paper Placemats.

Hosts can bring pop up fun to the table with six different scenes, including a reindeer for the holidays and a springy sweet mailbox and tree. A pack of 10 is $24 at Velocity.

The pop up placemats, available in natural or white, are made from recycled paper and are meant for a single use, but they are so whimsical and fresh. We'd be tempted to treat them gingerly (hey, watch the gravy!) to get two or three dinners our of them.
