When it comes to on-the-go snacks for any time of day, it’s kind of hard to compete with Pop-Tarts. When I was a kid, it was always an uphill battle trying to convince my mom why we absolutely needed to get Pop-Tarts, and whenever we did get them, it was always a very special treat. With close to 60 years of flavor creations under their belt, Pop-Tarts have transcended into a realm very unique to themselves, one full of comfort and nostalgia alike. And with the latest “Grandma Era” trend happening online, and #grandmacore garnering upwards of 145 million views across social media, the Pop-Tarts brand has once again tapped into pop culture with a new phenomenal flavor as well as some pretty stylish merch to go with it.

Arriving in grocery stores nationwide this month, Frosted Banana Bread Pop-Tarts will be available in the traditional 8-count box for just $3.89. The newest flavor from the Kellogg’s conglomerate features a frosted top with the very familiar aroma of freshly baked banana bread. The mix of banana, molasses, and warm spices capture the essence of the fresh-from-the-oven taste without all of the hassle of baking.

If the new flavor alone isn’t enough to get you to try a bite, Pop-Tarts went and took things a stylish step further. Partnering with crochet artisan London Kaye, the collaborators created three uniquely crocheted “Pop-Tartigan” sweaters to help ease you into that oh-so-comfortable “Grandma Era” you’ve been coveting.

The “Iconic” Pop-Tartigan keeps it casual with the classic cardigan style, which is perfect for all of your layering needs. The “Crop-Tartigan” is inspired by Y2K style trends, but cropped to combine the best of both fashion trend worlds. And finally, the “Toasty Hug Shrug” Pop-Tartigan wraps you up for maximum comfort and puts a spotlight on individual, oversized Pop-Tarts.

“There’s nothing better than curling up in a warm, crocheted sweater, so when I found out Pop-Tarts wanted to give their fans an extra cozy piece inspired by the new flavor, I knew this collab would be a match made in granny chic heaven,” said London Kaye. “My team and I handcrafted each Pop-Tartigan sweater with warm colors and crocheted features that are sure to be the perfect accessory to embrace your cozy side.”

If you can see yourself sporting one of these cozy cardigans, you may have already missed the first drop as it went live on March 29 at 12 p.m. EST with only 20 sweaters total being available. But don’t think all is lost. Two additional drops are taking place on both March 31 and April 4 (with only 20 sweaters being available on a first-come, first-serve basis each day again) on BananaBreadPopTarts.com. And if you still can’t get your hands on one, Pop-Tarts will also be releasing a digital Pop-Tarts-inspired granny-square template on social media that fans can use to crochet their own designs at home.
