There’s a New Eggo Waffle Pop-Tarts Flavor Coming Soon, So Your Mornings Are About to Get Better

Think back to when you were in school. What was the one breakfast item that always sounded good and you hoped your mom brought back from the grocery store for the week? For me, it was either Pop-Tarts or Eggo waffles. If you can relate to that feeling, then this news of the two iconic toasted breakfasts coming together as one perfectly snackable treat is something that even Eleven from Stranger Things would raid the pantry for. That’s right, Pop-Tarts has announced its newest craveable toaster pastry flavor as none other than an Eggo Frosted Maple variety.

Featuring the same flaky crust that we all remember from our childhoods, the newest flavor to the PT lineup will be wrapped around a sweet, maple-flavored filling. The topping on the Eggo Pop-Tarts will have a fun waffle spin and will include both a white icing base with yellow icing in a crisscross pattern to resemble the squares of a waffle. The new creation is set to make its way to store shelves nationwide in December and will retail for $3 for a box of eight pastries. 

This isn’t the only new collaboration that Kellogg’s is releasing in the coming months. The brand is also dropping two new products with Nestlé at the top of 2022 — a Rice Krispies Treats-flavored creamer from Coffee Mate and the new Sensations Froot Loops Cereal Flavored Milk — for your tasting pleasure.

The only question that’s left now though is how you plan enjoy these new Pop-Tarts.  I, for one, look forward to toasting them for a few minutes, then drizzling extra maple syrup on top for a sugar rush that will likely last all morning. No matter how you choose to enjoy the new Eggo Frosted Maple Pop-Tarts though, I’m sure we’ll all be saying “L’Eggo my Pop-Tarts” after opening the box.
