The Pioneer Woman Is Launching a Food Line at Walmart
If you want to cook the hearty, family-friendly meals that Ree Drummond is known for, but don’t have the time or budget to do so, then you’re in for some good news. Walmart just announced that they’re partnering with the Pioneer Woman to create a line of prepared foods, and every single dish is under $7.
The line is broken down into three categories. First you’ve got your comfort-food dishes, which sound super satisfying and perfect for dinner: smothered chicken, country fried steak, fried chicken, and bacon meatloaf. As mentioned, all of these options cost less than $7.
Then you’ve got your “savory sides,” all classics which will probably pair perfectly with the main dishes mentioned above: loaded mashed potatoes (chives, bacon, garlic, butter — the whole nine yards), creamy mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese. All of the sides cost less than $4 each.
Ree doesn’t just have dinner covered — she’s also including a line of bowls that you can serve at breakfast, lunch, or as an easy snack. The Country Breakfast Bowl includes beef, cheese, potatoes, bell peppers, and gravy; the Meaty Breakfast Bowl is packed with sausage, bacon, ham, potatoes, and cheese; and the Tex Mex Breakfast Bowl is a mix of salsa, cheese, and chorizo topped with tortilla chips. Just crack an egg in the bowl, mix the ingredients together, and heat it up. Brunch is served. All of the bowls cost less than $4 each, and two of them cost less than $3.
The full line launches next week at Walmart stores across the country. You’ll get two servings in each package, and the dishes are super easy to make: All you have to do is heat them up in the oven or microwave. Yup, it’s about to get so much easier to feed your hungry family in a hurry. Because while it would be ideal to make everything your family eats from scratch, there just aren’t enough hours in the day. Thankfully, Ree has taken some of the pressure off you in the dinner department. As for all those picky eaters in your life? I seriously doubt any of them will be able to resist those loaded mashed potatoes.
