The recipe that I am about to describe might not sound (or look) very delicious, but if Ree Drummond aka The Pioneer Woman (aka general business genius) says that it is, who are we to question it? It is called 7-can soup and, other than seven cans of literally anything you want — plus a hunk of Velveeta — there's not much more to it.
CAN we cook it? Yes we CAN.
All that you need to make this soup is a quick trip to a SINGLE aisle in your grocery store (or your pantry if it's even mildly stocked), five minutes of active labor, and 20 minutes of passively observing a pot on the stove. It's fairly non-committal. Actually, that's an egregious understatement. It's extremely non-committal.
If Ree's directive, "Use seven cans of whatever you want," stresses you out, fear not. She explicitly lists the ones that she likes to use in her recipe on The Pioneer Woman Blog. Do you have your pen and paper ready?

- Best Choice kidney beans
- Red Gold diced tomatoes
Ree also advises: "Don't drain the cans. Just violently throw them into the pot." Yes, ma'am! Once all the undrained cans have come to a gentle boil, Ree suggests stirring in an eighth ingredient into her seven-can soup: Velveeta, either cubed, or whole hog. If the resulting concoction looks a little funky to you, you have succeeded — and it will probably taste delicious.
