We've talked about some of the things we love at Three Potato Four, a charming vintage emporium. Here's a new item for them - an ideal set of herbs for the kitchen. Details and ideas for taking the idea further are below...

These Petit Coco Herb Pots ($42) look like sweet French pots, and they come with basil and mint seeds ready for planting. Basil and mint plants will soon outgrow these containers, however, so we suggest having larger herb pots (or even self-watering pots) ready for them.

Also, we wonder if we might prefer to recreate this look in one or two real pots, like a mini-cocotte that can be used after the seeds have sprouted and been transplanted for real cooking. A mini-cocotte from Staub or Mauviel will be expensive, but only a little more than the $42 price tag of this herb set.

Staub Mini Round 3/4 Quart Cocotte in Orange, $50

Mauviel Mini Cocotte, $75

Set of 2 Staub 0.25 Quart Mini-Cocottes, $89.95
