Pepsi Just Introduced a Toasty Marshmallow-Flavored Soda with Their New S’mores Collection
Growing up in Florida, I never experienced a real change in season. It wasn’t until I moved to New York City in the middle of winter while in my 20s that I found it was about as opposite of Florida weather as you could get. As time went by, I grew to really appreciate each season — and fall quickly became my favorite. A celebration for making it through the hottest days of the year? I’m totally here for it.
While pumpkin spice everything may be the flavor of choice for the season, to me there’s no better way to celebrate the cozy weather than with one of my all-time favorite summertime snack carryovers: s’mores sandwiches. And thankfully, Pepsi had me (and maybe you) in mind with their new limited-edition Pepsi S’mores Collection.
Featuring three distinct flavors and designed to encourage consumers to mix and match, the one-of-a-kind collection comes in 7.5-ounce mini cans and is up for grabs in a limited-batch release. So what can you expect taste-wise? To start, the Toasty Marshmallow flavor is an entirely new Pepsi creation that boasts a marshmallow base with layers of toasted notes that mimic a fireside flavor.
The Graham Cracker sip, on the other hand, is infused with notes of honey and cinnamon, achieving the perfect balance of graham cracker flavor. And lastly, the Chocolate — which contains dominant notes of cocoa throughout — includes slight hints of vanilla, creating an extra creamy sweetness that resembles a slightly melted chocolate flavor.
Don’t run out to search the aisles for these flavors just yet, though. The only way to get a chance to win a set of the limited-edition sips is to share an image or description of how you like to s’more on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtags #PepsiSmores and #Sweepstakes, following @Pepsi on the respective platforms.
This isn’t the first time Pepsi has given fans of a unique flavor. In the past, they’ve released flavors like Maple Syrup Cola, PEPSI X PEEPS, Pepsi Apple Pie, and Pepsi x Cracker Jack, just to name a few. But with the recent release of their line of nitrogen-infused cola, as well as just hitting their 30th anniversary of the ever-so-nostalgic Crystal Pepsi, I think it’s safe to say that the brand may be onto something here.
