I’ll be the first to admit that my palate was extremely narrow when I was younger. I refused to eat any vegetables except Brussels sprouts and broccoli; I wanted cheese incorporated into every meal; and my choices in fruit were confined to only apples, bananas, and pineapple. Naturally, my reluctance to try new food was a source of frustration for my parents who enjoyed the expansive flavors accessible in our culturally diverse city.

Although the start of my adult years still saw me have a very strong distaste for peaches, my opinion changed when I moved to Georgia and my tastebuds came to understand why the sweet, succulent treat had become the preferred fruit for many in the state. This newfound love also sparked an appreciation for peach-filled dishes such as peach pie, peach ice cream, and peach cobbler.

And now New York-based content creator @daronthechef‘s has shared a video for peach cobbler cinnamon roll cones on Instagram. It’s a spin on peach cobbler that I know I won’t be able to get enough of.

Start by draining the syrup from a can of peaches before slicing the peaches in half and setting aside. Unravel your pre-made cinnamon roll dough and wrap it around a cream horn mold and bake as instructed. Place your peaches in a bowl of melted butter and both brown and granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and vanilla extract, topping off with a heavy pour of Crown Royal Peach. Cook on low heat in a saucepan. Finish things off by combining a tablespoon of cornstarch of water each in the pan, cooking for an additional five minutes. Once your filling is thick, remove from heat.

Remove the cream horn from the oven, taking the now-molded dough from around it. Add your sweet peach filling inside the dough and, for added flavor, brush glaze from the peach cobbler mix on the cinnamon rolls. Enjoy as is or add a scoop of ice cream to take things up a notch!
