Padma Lakshmi’s 12-Year-Old Daughter Hilariously Interrupts Her Cooking Video: “Nobody Cares!”
If Padma Lakshmi were in my living room sharing her tips and cooking recipes, I would sit there quietly for as long as humanly possible and listen intently as I try to soak up all the knowledge. But I guess when being around the superstar chef is literally your life, you might not be as impressed or enthused by Lakshmi’s cooking. Such was probably the case when her daughter, Krishna, roasted her in her video.
The TV host, author, and producer — who just celebrated her 52nd birthday — posted a video on Instagram of herself in her kitchen making homemade tomato sauce. The video starts off harmless, with Lakshmi standing in front of a pan of tomato sauce. “Homemade tomato sauce that you can then freeze and put away for winter,” she says before being quickly interrupted by her daughter.
“I’m doing a video,” explains Lakshmi after hearing her daughters loud groan. Then her daughter Krishna can be heard replying in the background, “Nobody cares!”
“Okay. Alright, nobody cares. Anyway, I care!” the host says trying to laugh it off. But the real hurt was in the video text. “My daughter keeping me humble,” joked Lakshmi with a laughing emoji quickly replaced with a heartbreak emoji. “I was making tomato sauce. Littlhands was serving a roast,” the post was captioned alongside a tear emoji.
But I do. I care, Krishna. And so do your mom’s 1.3 million followers.
