This OXO Dish Brush Has Almost 5,000 Five-Star Reviews — And One Shopper Has Been Using Theirs Since 2015
It’s no secret how much we love OXO products around here at Kitchn. (For what it’s worth, our readers — hey, that’s you! — love OXO, too!) For more than 30 years, the company has been making kitchen gadgets (and more) that are meant to be, as the company puts it, better. Better to use — period. OXO is probably best-known for its POP Containers, which actually do pop when you open and close them. But surprisingly, those containers are not currently what’s popping on Amazon. No, the bestselling OXO product on Amazon happens to be this humble-looking dish brush. Let’s take a look.

It’s got the signature OXO handle (OXO actually got its start when the company’s founder set out to design a peeler that his wife, who has arthritis, could hold more easily), durable bristles that won’t scratch a nonstick surface, and a built-in scraper. Plus, it’s dishwasher-safe. The brush has almost 5,000 five-star reviews, so of course we wanted to see what some of those happy shoppers had to say.
“I have been using this brush pretty much every day since mid-2015 or so. It’s held up incredibly well, scrubs tough stuff excellently, and washes off well in the dishwasher. For the length of time it’s lasted (and no reason to think I’ll need to replace it anytime soon), it’s super worth the cost. I’d recommend for sure.”
“We went through multiple of those brushes with an integrated reservoir for soap, they seemed nice, but, in practice, they always wound up getting moldy over time because you can’t get them dry or clean the inside part. Then we got this simple brush and it is great. Durable enough to run it through the dishwasher to get clean (toss it in there once a week or so) but strong enough to really scrap off the worst of the much. OXO always has a good handle, too, so it’s easy to grip.”
“At first the bristles seemed too stiff, but they broke in within a week. I love this brush and use it for many jobs that either require some extra scrubbing power or for items that have awkward shapes and grooves. I clean my dishes with a combination of this dish brush, a bottle brush, and a sponge, depending on the kind of debris I am cleaning and the type of utensil I am cleaning. This brush does a lot of the work, and I like that food particles rinse out easily, so when cleaning gross stuff like eggs, it can spare my sponge’s scour pad.”
