Back when air fryers were first becoming a thing, I was hesitant to get one for myself. I was living in a studio apartment in New York City and couldn’t find a good enough reason to give up my beloved toaster oven, for one. So I waited it out — but I couldn’t come up with any excuses not to get one when Our Place’s Wonder Oven came onto the scene. Not only is it super cute, but it also has the ability to air fry and toast (something I deemed a necessity), as well as bake, broil, and more! Since upgrading my toaster oven to the Wonder Oven, I haven’t looked back.

However, Our Place — which you might recognize as the stylish brand behind the viral Always Pan — just dropped a new take on the Wonder Oven that I had to give a try, too. The Large Wonder Oven is a leveled-up version of the original, but, as its name suggests, it gives you more space to cook with. So whether you’re looking to upgrade your current toaster oven or air fryer or have been needing an appliance that allows you to cook for more people, look no further.

What Is Our Place’s Large Wonder Oven?

You might already be familiar with Our Place’s Wonder Oven, but, just in case you’re not, it’s an editor-loved countertop oven that has six different functions, including baking, roasting, toasting, air frying, reheating, and broiling. It comes in four gorgeous colors that you can match with Our Place’s chic pots and pans (which might already be living on your stovetop if you think they’re as pretty and efficient as I do). The brand’s new Large Wonder Oven shares all the same qualities, except for its size.

The new Wonder Oven’s capacity is nearly 2.5 times bigger than the original. We’re talking a difference of 19 quarts! So, naturally, the Large Wonder Oven is a great investment if you’re usually cooking for a family or entertain often (or perhaps you just like meal prepping for the entire week. This thing can easily hold and roast a full chicken!). And like the standard Wonder Oven, the larger version comes with a crumb tray, baking sheet, and air fryer basket that are made to fit perfectly inside the appliance, but it also comes with two wire racks instead of just one.

Why I Love Our Place’s Large Wonder Oven

I’ve been using the original Wonder Oven since it came out about a year and a half ago. It is easily one of the tools I use most in my kitchen; it’s right up there with my Our Place Mini Always Pan and Keurig coffee machine. So when the Large Wonder Oven dropped, I was super excited to test it out for myself — and I’m happy to say that it’s as reliable and perfect as its predecessor.

Like the original, the Large Wonder Oven is very intuitive and easy to use with three dials, which allow you to choose the temperature, mode, and cooking time. I decided to test out a few different foods in this appliance, starting with a classic: frozen pizza. I cooked it on one of the included wire racks, and the thin crust came out impressively crispy! I actually found that the pizza cooked quicker than the air-fry instructions on its box said, so that was a nice surprise for me, as someone who’s quite impatient. I also baked some chocolate chip cookies, which turned out golden on the bottom and perfectly chewy on the inside.

The only test that didn’t have a totally flawless result was air-frying frozen french fries. The fries came out a bit soggy, but because the other items I tested came out nice and crisp, I’m thinking this has more to do with the fry brand I was using than the oven. Overall, I love the Large Wonder Oven as much as the smaller version. It’s easy to use and clean, and it looks so cute sitting on the counter. Plus, the large window makes it so easy to keep an eye on whatever you’re cooking without having to open the door and let some of the heat out. If you find yourself cooking for a crowd or meal prepping regularly, then it’s definitely worth the extra $50.
