America’s favorite cookie is back with a new treat, and no, it’s not a new cookie flavor this time around. Continuing on with a year of celebration for their 110th birthday, Oreo is finally releasing a line of frozen treats, and I only have one thing to say about it: it’s about time.

Cookies and cream ice cream has long been a top flavor for ice cream lovers (including myself), but with the new Oreo Frozen Treats line, you’re guaranteed to have the authentic taste of Oreo in every bite. Creatively reworking the chocolate cookie sandwich we know and love into a variety of frozen treats such as tubs, ice cream cones, snackable bars, and ice cream sandwiches, the new line delivers a real creme-flavored base with pieces of Oreo cookies sprinkled throughout.

While each of the frozen treats have the creme-flavored base in common, they all have their own special features, too. Oreo Bars are dipped in a delicious coating made from crushed Oreo wafer pieces, while the new Oreo Cones come with a crispy, chocolatey cone that’s dipped in a coating also made from crushed Oreo wafer pieces. Oreo Sandwiches, on the other hand, feature the creme-flavored cookie pieces base added in between two large Oreo cookie wafers. And lastly, the Oreo tubs — which come in both 14-ounce and 48-ounce offerings — are just the same base made to be eaten however (and on whatever!) you’d like.

If you’re an ice cream fanatic like me, you probably can’t wait to get your hands on the treats. While the nationwide launch of the products won’t be until this March, you can visit their website to see if you’re near a local store carrying them right now. And as a big thank you to loyal supporters this spring, Oreo’s next digital campaign — “The Real One Is Finally Here” — will highlight the dedicated fans who inspired the frozen line.

With Valentine’s Day so close, pairing the Oreo Frozen Treats’ scoopable ice cream with pink Oreo truffles sounds like a winning combination. If Oreo Frozen Treats are not available near you yet, you can always make your own Oreo-infused rolled ice cream to hold you over.
