The kitchen cart, like the breadmaker, is one of the most popular kitchen items for sale on Craig's List. Both popular items are a comment on how New York City cooks live: sell the breadmaker on Craig's to make room for something more hard working; buy a kitchen cart to create some space and sell it off when moving to the new place.

Here's a look at just a few of the kitchen carts, or islands as the fancier people seem to call them, for sale on Craig's List now: A kitchen cart with wheels and a stainless top ($100) can be rolled into the living room if needed to extend your cooking space. This Crate and Barrel Cart ($250) carries a cabinet underneath to store liquor bottles or cereal boxes. Why is this one just $35 while this similar looking cart goes for $120? Here's a stunning, solid-looking kitchen stand in rustic oak, as seen in the picture, for $500.

And don't forget to post your own listings at The Kitchen's classifieds by clicking the yellow button to the right.

Set of 3 All Clad Mixing Bowls for $45
