• Tortilla Making Class: Slow Food NYC and Williamsburg taqueria Taco Chulo will host a hands-on tortilla-making class at the restaurant. Cost, including food and drinks, is $25. 6:30 p.m. on 1/15.
• Boulud on the Braise: Chef Daniel Boulud will present a multitude of braising techniques from his latest book, Braise. After the presentation, there will be a book sale and signing, along with a food sampling and a glass of wine. The program, presented by French Institute Alliance Francaise, will be held on 1/15 in Florence Gould Hall, 55 East 59th St., $25.
• Food Essay Writing Workshop: Food writer David Leite will teach a one-night class in writing about food experiences using the first person voice. The four hour Media Bistro class will be held on 1/16 and costs $125.
