Ready to take a virtual trip to Detroit? I’m excited to announce that our November pick for Kitchn’s Cookbook Club is Sister Pie by Lisa Ludwinski.
This cookbook is based on all the delicious things from the cult-favorite bakery (with the same name) in Michigan. We’ve had our eye on this book since it came out last fall, and we thought that, as we head into baking season, it was the perfect time to finally delve in.
Don’t be fooled by the cover of this cookbook — it’s more than just sweet pies. There are savory pies, including a sweet potato, black bean, and feta hand pie, and then there are other sweets like cookies, scones, rolls, and even a few salads. We are especially excited for the honey lemon meringue pie (Thanksgiving!), and also the peanut butter paprika cookies. We can’t wait to bake with you!
