Northern California Farmer’s Market Report: San Rafael
Last weekend, I went to the Sunday Farmer’s Market in San Rafael, a short drive north of San Francisco in beautiful Marin County. As you can see, Fall is in full swing with pumpkins, chestnuts, olives, and more.
The San Rafael Sunday Farmer’s Market is Sundays from 8 AM – 1 PM at the San Rafael Civic Center. It’s one of the larger Bay Area Farmer’s Markets; in addition to the farmers selling fresh fish, meat, poultry, cheese, eggs, and produce, there are also local artisans hawking their wares, and hot/cold food vendors selling prepared meals and beverages. Tables are laid out under umbrellas and there are play areas for kids, so the market is also a place to be social and bring the family.
