You may not think you know Normann Copenhagen, but chances are you’d recognize a few of their classic pieces. (Remember this peeler? Or this tea egg? Or these fun beater whisks?) Fans of modern design also know that you can find Normann Copenhagen pieces at stores like Horne, Huset, and The Modern Shop, but the brand has its own online webshop as well where you can peruse and purchase the full beautiful line.

Normann Copenhagen likes to say they’re a “way of living,” a place where you can find “traditional materials put to untraditional use.” Their flagship store in Copenhagen was once described by Apartment Therapy as “the MOMA Design store on steroids.” About a quarter of their products are made by the company’s own in-house designers, while the rest are special pieces they’ve curated from designs and designers they love. You’ll find classic kitchen tools that have a modern edge to them alongside collections like the Mormor tabletop line, which takes a traditional pattern you might see on tea towels and dish cloths and puts it on porcelain dishes instead! (“Mormor” means “grandmother” in Danish.)

If you order from their website directly, shipping to the USA is $40 (so, not cheap) but free for orders over $265.
