It might seem counterintuitive to buy an ice cream maker before winter, but if you really love ice cream, you know there’s never a bad time to enjoy it. Perhaps you like to keep your freezer stocked with all of your favorite brands and flavors, but doing so can be costly (plus it takes up a lot of space). This past year, a few of our staffers here at The Kitchn discovered and fell in love with the Creami, Ninja’s seven-in-one ice cream maker.

Initially, we were a bit skeptical. One countertop appliance just for making ice cream? But we quickly came to find that this machine is much more versatile than it first appears, and it’s beyond easy to use. Right now, you can score it for $50 off during QVC’s Black Friday promotions. It’ll be a hit during your holiday gatherings, as well as an appliance you look forward to using all year round. Hurry while the deal is still live!

What Is the Ninja Creami?

The Ninja Creami might’ve gone viral on social media this past summer, but Commerce Editor Britt has had one in her kitchen since 2022. In addition to ice cream, the CREAMi whips up sorbets, milkshakes, and more at the press of a button, thanks to its seven one-touch programs. All you have to do is prepare your ice cream mixture and freeze the base in advance, which is where the five included pint bowls come in handy. You can create your own unique flavors and add mix-ins that you can’t find at the store.

“I can prepare any of my favorite flavors ahead of time, store them in the freezer, and pop them out whenever an ice cream craving hits,” Britt says in her review. “The Ninja CREAMi makes refreshing ice cream in under five minutes, which is so much better than my old-fashioned ice cream maker! I also love that I can even make dairy-free sorbets because I always have fruit juice on hand.” The included recipe guide also shows you how to use swaps to fit dietary constraints and take advantage of ingredients you might already have lying around the house.

What QVC Reviewers Are Saying

Average Rating: 4.5/5

“We bought this because I wanted different flavors of sorbet. We have made strawberry, peach, strawberry tangerine, and Creamsicle, and they were all flavorful and wonderful. We had a party, and my neighbors all loved the flavors, too. Very easy to make, also … comes with a recipe book that explained in detail how to make each flavor of sherbet.” —Nenge

“No more store-bought ice cream for me. The Ninja Creami makes the best ice cream in the world. Hubby has dietary restrictions, so I can make his specialized frozen treats way cheaper than I can buy them in the store. Love this so much, I purchased three others as gifts! Highly recommend this machine!!” —Mwlter

“This is by far my favorite appliance I have for the kitchen. Would highly recommend, and I use it every day. I use ricotta cheese, not cream cheese, and it comes out creamy like a brand name I’ve had. The ice cream is delicious. Easy to follow recipes and, most importantly, the machine worked exactly as advertised … it is a tad loud, so hit the button and walk away for just a minute.” —Appliance Queen
