Nigella Just Put This Kitchen Tool at the Top of Everyone’s Christmas List

Nigella Lawson and her deeply enviable life are back on TV in the U.K. with a new cooking show called Nigella: At My Table. From the first episode, audiences were captivated by Nigella’s cooking, but also her amazing accessories, from her see-through toaster to her slinky dressing gown with a map of Venice printed on it. But one item immediately stood out even among all of Nigella Lawson’s other beautiful things: her copper KitchenAid mixer.

As soon as she pulled out the mixer and a spiralizer attachment to demonstrate her trick for making perfect shoestring french fries, social media started going wild with praise and desire for that gleaming copper mixer.

It’s a really beautiful mixer, too. I have a pink one, which I adore, but the moment I saw Nigella’s I started wondering if I could arrange for mine to have an “accident” in time for Christmas.

Everyone wants that copper KitchenAid. Good Housekeeping U.K. reports that the copper KitchenAid sold out at multiple stores in the U.K. as soon as it appeared on Nigella’s new show.

A spokesperson for retailer John Lewis said searches for “KitchenAid” spiked 50 percent while the show was airing, and for a few hours after. Most of those searches came from mobile devices, too, which means a lot of people were likely Googling “copper KitchenAid mixer” from their sofas as they watched the show.

Nigella’s KitchenAid mixer appears to be from the limited-edition Custom Metallic series, which are clad in real metal, but a copper pearl finish is available as part of the standard KitchenAid line, too. Nigella’s copper KitchenAid mixer is scarce in the U.K. right now, but several U.S. shops and websites still have them in stock.
