With the summer season upon us, nothing quite hits the spot on a hot day like your favorite ice cream. And who else knows our seasonal cravings better than Trader Joe’s? As the unofficial champions of the frozen food section, Trader Joe’s has a habit of dropping new flavors of your favorite snacks, and after a recent episode of the Inside Trader Joe’s Podcast, we now know exactly what to expect next with their latest release, and it comes in the form of not one, but two new ice creams.

The chain’s S’mores Ice Cream already made our list of the 19 best Trader Joe’s summer groceries to hit shelves, and features all the flavors you love about s’mores mixed into one delicious pint. For only $3.79 you can enjoy everyone’s favorite campfire snack in ice cream form — and that’s only half of the good news. The other half? There’s a brand-new Trader Joe’s ice cream, called Golden Caramel Swirl Ice Cream, which is a pint full of vanilla and chocolate ice cream featuring salted caramel swirls and labeled “super premium” (hinting at the high fat content).

Originally spotted by Trader Joe’s List on Instagram, both flavors have had fans frantically searching for a pint to try for themselves, even hinting how the flavors remind them of Trader Joe’s products from the past.

One fan commented, “Hear me out — dip the TJ’s s’mores clusters into the ice cream,” when referring to the s’mores flavor, while another claimed that “This is my new favorite flavor,” in response to the Golden Caramel Swirl flavor.

Not all reviews are rave ones, however, with some users pointing out how the Golden Caramel flavor includes the ingredient carrageenan, claiming that “Carrageenan is literally poison.”

All in all, the new ice cream flavors from Trader Joe’s are still very promising, and while we all have our different taste preferences (including ingredients we try to avoid), something tells me TJ’s is going to have no problem selling out these flavors this summer. I know I’ll be trying these new pints out for myself.
