Instant Pot Just Released Another New Air Fryer — And It’s Even Better Than the First One
Just a few months ago, in early July, Instant Pot came out with its first air fryer — the Instant Vortex Plus 7-in-1 Air Fryer Oven — and the company already has another one. (The engineers over there just might be the hardest-working team in the biz!) While the original model had a 10-quart capacity and seven built-in programmings (for air frying, roasting, broiling, baking, reheating, dehydrating, and rotisserie-style cooking), this one is a bit more simplified. Let’s take a look!
As the name states the new Instant Vortex 6-Quart 4-in-1 Air Fryer has a 6-quart capacity. It also does fewer things than the original. And that’s not a bad thing! “It’s perfect for the person who wants all the delicious results of a large capacity air fryer, but has limited real estate on their kitchen counter,” a company rep told us this morning. It’s super easy to use as an air fryer and it still also bakes, reheats, and roasts. And because it has a smaller capacity, it has a smaller footprint — but still has plenty of basket space to make food for a small family (it can easily hold a two-pound bag of fries or a four-pound chicken).
Our Associate Food Editor, Meghan Splawn got to play with the original Vortex and she loved it. Although she loved the size of it the most (she could make an entire batch of air fryer doughnuts at once), she also commented that it was easy to use and crisped her food up nicely — in a way that got her excited to use it more.
