You know that old saying, April showers bring May groceries? Oh whoops, that’s not quite right. Oh well, I’m back, reporting to you live, having just taste tested a whole slew of new products that are hitting grocery store shelves nationwide this month. The combo of these yummy bites plus sunnier skies is putting me in a great mood, so I wanted to spread the joy and share the news of my favorite finds for this month.

You’ll notice below that sweets dominated my top picks … but how could they not when the new offerings include a madeleine-meets-brownies mashup and s’mores marshmallows? Come on.

Without any further ado, here are all the new groceries that I think you should add to your shopping list.

1. Favorite Day Madeleine & Brownie Tiny Treats

Winner, winner! This madeleine-slash-brownie combo, part of Target’s new line of sweet treats called Favorite Day, was a home run for me. I’d never thought of pairing a light, spongey madeleine with a fudgy chocolate brownie, but I’m glad the food scientists and recipe developers at Target did.

2. Simple Mills Organic Seed Flour Crackers

These crackers have a great flavor and crunch, so the fact that they’re made with nutritious ingredients like sunflower, pumpkin, and flaxseed flour makes them even better. You can now find these dip vehicles in three different flavors: Original, Garlic & Herb, and Everything.

3. Jet-Puffed Bites

I didn’t know I needed bite-sized coated marshmallow bites in my life until I tried these perfect pouches. The S’mores flavor is my favorite of the bunch because it gives me cozy campfire vibes without having to go through the trouble of actually making a fire. (The runner-up is Birthday Cake.) The resealable pouch is a bonus and keeps the marshmallows nice and squishy.

4. Nonni’s Limoncello Biscotti

Eating a crunchy, lemon-flavored biscotti with my morning coffee makes me feel like I’m at a coffee shop. In reality, I’m in my pajamas at home … still.

5. La Brea Bakery Take & Bake Rolls

I heated up these Everything Rolls in my oven for a few minutes and bam! The end result was warm, freshly baked, crusty-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside bread with minimal effort. I slathered mine with some salted butter and it was perfection.

6. Kellogg’s Special K Chocolatey Dipped Flakes

My love for Special K cereal knows no bounds, so when I heard about this new chocolate-packed flavor I knew I had to try it. Chocolate-lovers will not be able to resist this mix of multigrain flakes dipped in a chocolatey shell, cocoa-dusted flakes, and sliced almonds.

7. SkinnyDipped Peanut Butter Cups

Marking the brand’s first foray outside of coated nuts, these low-sugar peanut butter cups are a risk worth taking. SkinnyDipped nailed this lower-sugar alternative, without using stevia, sugar alcohols, or artificial sweeteners, colors, or flavors.
