Well, folks, it’s the last month of 2020. And while I imagine many of us (myself included) are eager to say goodbye to this horrific year, let’s first say hello to the last batch of brand-new grocery store products hitting shelves before the calendar changes over.

This month’s standouts include festive bubbly in a sparkly can, chocolate-dipped cookie dough bites, and a gluten-free twist on a classic comfort food. Keep an eye out for these brand-new products to enjoy during Zoom toasts and micro holiday celebrations with your quarantine pod. Here are the new groceries I’ll be leaning on as I crawl towards the finish line to 2021.

1. Harmless Harvest Coconut Smoothie

I was already a fan of Harmless Harvest’s naturally pink coconut water, but I was surprised to find that I love their Coconut Smoothie even more. It’s made with just two ingredients —coconut water and hand-scooped coconut meat — and it’s pretty amazing what a difference the addition of one ingredient makes. The Coconut Smoothie has the same refreshing, sweet taste of Harmless Harvest’s OG coconut water, but the coconut meat lends a creamy taste and texture that is perfection.

2. Kraft Gluten-Free Macaroni & Cheese

I wasn’t expecting to be blown away by this product, but it tastes *exactly* like the original (to my memory, at least). I’ve cooked different types of gluten-free pasta in the past and have been disappointed by their mushy texture, but Kraft’s brown rice and corn pasta rings true to the blue box I know and love.

3. MingsBings

From James Beard Award-winning chef Ming Tsai, MingsBings are a gluten-free, vegan version of traditional Chinese bings. They’re filled with edamame, watercress, pepitas, garlic, ginger, and shiitake mushrooms, and wrapped up in a pre-oiled brown rice pocket that cooks from frozen on a nonstick pan. These are incredibly tasty and a must-have for your freezer.

4. Tate’s Bake Shop Cinnamon Brown Sugar Cookies

A limited-edition, seasonal flavor by Tate’s Bake Shop, these cookies are crispy and buttery, just like the chocolate chip version. Their brown sugar flavor and green foil packaging have an unmistakably holiday feel. Serve these on a plate and your quarantine pod will never know you bought them from the store.

5. Nestlé Toll House Bite-Sized Chocolate Chip Edible Cookie Dough

I love digging a spoon into a tub of safe-to-eat cookie dough, but the geniuses at Nestlé Toll House have made it even easier. These chocolate chip cookie dough balls are enrobed in a chocolatey coating, which makes for an easy-to-eat treat that you can pop straight into your mouth.

6. Naked Juice Rainbow Machine

Naked’s latest smoothie release, a welcome boost of nutrition, will help you eat the rainbow. It features juices from seven colorful fruits and vegetables — red beets, apples, mangoes, bananas, kiwis, blueberries, and blackberries — and tastes delightful.

7. TRUFF Black Truffle Pomodoro Pasta Sauce

This pasta sauce (also available in spicy arrabbiata) is TRUFF’s first non-hot sauce offering. The truffle flavor is more subtle than I was expecting, but it also wasn’t as spicy as I was worried it would be. It’s well-balanced and flavorful and definitely stands out amongst other jarred pasta sauces.

8. Bev Glitz Sparkling White Wine

This limited-edition, extra-dry, fizzy, canned wine is just the thing you need for holiday imbibing. The convenient packaging means there’s no need to worry about finishing an entire bottle before the bubbles go flat. Plus, the festive shiny gold cans reflect rainbows in the light.
