Nestlé Cookie Dough Is Being Recalled Nationwide Due to Possible Plastic Contamination

Bad news for cookie dough fans: Nestlé USA has issued a voluntary recall of its Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough with Fudge Filling, as it may contain white plastic pieces.

The company notes that the recall has been isolated to just Nestlé Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough with Fudge Filling products made between June and September 2022 and have UPC code 050000429912. They were distributed in retailers across the continental United States and Puerto Rico.

“While no illnesses or injuries have been reported, we immediately took action out of an abundance of caution after a small number of consumers contacted Nestlé USA about this issue,” the release reads. If you purchased the recalled product, do not bake or eat it. Instead, you should return it to the retailer you purchased it from to receive a full refund or have it replaced for a different item.

Although this news is definitely a blow to the cookie-baking season, on the bright side, this particular ready-to-bake refrigerated cookie dough is the only product affected by the recall. So if you have any other type of Nestlé cookie dough in your fridge, you’re safe to enjoy it. This includes other Nestlé Toll House Stuffed Cookie Dough products that aren’t inclusive of the fudge filling.
